Build Training Levels Explained

You will notice that in the training plans section, there are three levels. These are: Intermediate, Advanced and Masters.

The Intermediate Level:

This Programme is for riders who have time challenges. This is not to say that is not both challenging and effective. So who is this suitable for, if you are a sportive rider, Cat 4 or Cat 3 then this is the right Programme for you. Even you are a Cat 2 but you have limited time to train, then this will really work for you. The most important thing is to try and get in the prescribed Volume and Intensity over the months prescribed. This Programme is going to build a fantastic level of form and fitness and should have you super competitive for your target event.

The Advanced Level:

This Programme is ideal for ambitious Cat 2 riders and Cat 1 riders. If you are a Cat 3 who is looking to step up to the next level, then you can do this Programme, but watch how your body feels and don't overtrain if it feels too intensive. If in doubt, post in the Facebook group. This Programme is going to build a fantastic level of form and fitness and should have you super competitive for your target event.

The Masters Level:

This Programme has been specifically designed for riders who are over 40. The main difference is the timing and intensity of the high intensity training programmed. That is not to say it is easy but that it is very effective. If you are a masters riding at a sportive level, Cat 4 or 3 or 2 level then this Programme is perfect for you. If you are riding currently at an elite level, even as a masters athlete then the advanced Programme is probably better for you. If in doubt, ask in the Facebook group. This Programme is going to build a fantastic level of form and fitness and should have you super competitive for your target event.
